- “Orbits and Gravity” is a title applied to seven numerically-ordered compositions, dated 2008-2009. (#4 is applied to two different compositions, designated A and B for cataloguing purposes.) One composition, Untitled (Orbits and Gravity #1), has four panels, and another, Untitled (Orbits and Gravity #2), has two panels. The compositions often incorporate the same plates but in different configurations. In addition to the composition documented here, the six others in this group are seen in Related Works in the Catalogue.
This composition consists of three plates, side by side, across the center of the sheet. One or more of these plates also appear in Untitled (Orbits and Gravity #1) (first, third and fourth panels), Untitled (Orbits and Gravity #2) (right panel), Untitled (Orbits and Gravity #4) (A and B), and Untitled (Orbits and Gravity #5) (two superimposed plates). One of the plates also appears in “Je Cherche Après Titine” and “The Sky was Spinning” (one of two superimposed plates). All can be seen in Related Works in the Catalogue. - Impression:
