Bourgeois had a connection to the Gallery through a major exhibition of her work held there in 1998, and an accompanying catalogue, titled: "Louise Bourgeois: Oeuvres récentes/Recent Works." That exhibition was organized in conjunction with capcMusée d'art contemporain de Bordeaux.
