- Background:
- In the late 1980s, when publisher Peter Blum began the portfolio project "Anatomy" with Bourgeois, he sought the assistance of printer Judith Solodkin, of SOLO Impression, a longtime friend of the artist. Solodkin suggested Harlan & Weaver as intaglio printers and she served as supervisor for this project and a number of individual prints at that time, including "Ambition," "Meteorology," "Shooting Stars," Untitled, and "To Hide," all seen below in Related Works in the Catalogue.
- Curatorial Remarks:
- In Wye and Smith, "The Prints of Louise Bourgeois," 1994, this composition was catalogued with the title "Tops II." At the time, the numbering was added to this composition because the artist also used "Tops" as an alternate title for the composition "Spirales," seen below in Related Works in the Catalogue. The numbering has been eliminated here for clarity, as this is the only composition with "Tops" as the main title.
