Fabric portfolio with 12 fabric collages
Installation Remarks:
This portfolio of 12 compositions constitutes a single work of art. All of these compositions are to be exhibited together and in the indicated sequence.
Other Remarks:
According to the Louise Bourgeois Studio, the 12 fabric collages comprising the portfolio, "Dawn," are composed of various fabrics from Bourgeois's wardrobe. The sequence of the fabric collages within the portfolio was meant to convey the passage of time and the beginning of a new day.
